My pets aren’t used to being alone very long. Will you be leaving my house at all?
Some of our sitters have 9-5 jobs, which means they’ll be gone about 8 hours Monday – Friday. Other sitters do this full-time, and won’t leave for more than 2-3 hours at a time.
Just let us know what your pet’s normal schedule is like and we’ll assign a sitter that best fits your needs.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check and PayPal. Please note first-time clients are required to pay a 25% deposit to secure their booking.
How can I give you instructions for my pet(s)?
For first-time clients, we’ll send you a thorough form to fill out with all the information we’ll need for your booking: feeding instructions, potty schedule, etc. If you think of anything after submitting the form, just send us a note and we’ll update your information.
If you’ve booked with us before, please let us know of any changes/additions to your pet instructions so we can update your information.
What if something happens during the stay?
When you first book with us, we’ll send you a Vet Release that authorizes us to seek emergency medical care for your pet. You will be responsible for the payment of any medical care you authorize us to seek on behalf of your pet.
We are also insured through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC to provide you with extra piece of mind should anything happen while we’re caring for your pet.
How do I give you access to my home?
You can provide us with a key, either in-person at a meet & greet or by leaving it somewhere discreet (like a mailbox). We will return the key to you at the end of the stay, unless you prefer to give us a copy for future stays.
You may also give us the code to your garage and/or security system. We keep all client information strictly confidential.
Where do you stay in my house?
Wherever you want us to. We’ll sleep in the guest room, on the couch, wherever you’re comfortable having us sleep.
If there are any rooms you don’t want us (or your pets) going into, just close the door when you leave and we’ll keep it closed throughout our stay.
What is your cancellation policy?
We get lots of requests, so when we book your stay, we are reserving valuable calendar space. That said, we do recognize that sometimes emergencies happen.
If cancellation is made within 24 hours of the stay start date, you will not be charged for the stay (and new clients will have their deposit refunded). If a stay is cancelled less than 24 hours before the stay start date, we reserve the right to retain 25% of the total booking cost.
